Homeless part 2 (a.k.a. Broke)

After a brief struggle (that lasted for 10 days) to find a place to live, I finally did it!
I am the happy tenant of a 2 bedroom condo. It’s 20 minutes away from my office, which is a plus, as I was sick and tired of commuting for 2 or more hours daily, back and forth…

Anyway, I moved in and started to look around the house… I realized that I need tons of things, to make my life easier. But, I guess I’ll have to do it all in time, as I am now officially B-R-O-K-E!

Note to self: putting together a to-do/to-buy list gives me a big headache.

I also realized that finding a “roomie” is a must, so I started asking around. After interviewing a few colleagues at work and some friends, I got somewhat angry because everybody told me that they were interested, but in the end, all turned down my offer.
The last option was to call my best friend and ask him to move in, as I knew that he wanted it too, but he couldn’t afford to split the rent. So we reached a gentleman’s agreement: he’ll start with a small rent and we’ll increase it gradually, as he starts to earn more money. It’s a win-win situation, even if I’ll be a bit on the down side with the money in the first couple of months. But, hey, something is better than nothing! (that’s what my grandma used to say all the time)

That being settled, the only thing that keeps my headache around is the fact that I still don’t know what to do with my ex-girlfriend… It’ll be a heck of a weekend!

Homeless

Usually, no news is good news. Usually, this is true. However, my life nothing but usual.

Every fall, in mid September, I have a talk with some “influential” people from the housing comitee, to get a spot in my college’s campus hostels. For the last three years, everything went almost according to my plans and I was somewhat pleased. This year, all hell broke loose and even with tons of money (I’m not kidding) nothing could be arranged. The result? I ended up homeless!

Given the situation (no formal eviction notice), I was forced to move out of my room over-night. This being said, after about 2 hours on the phone with pretty much everybody that I hoped could help me, I was able to move at some friend of mine (even if it’s temporary, a roof over my head is much appreciated at the moment) and all my things were hauled to another friends apartment a few miles away…

So… now I trying to find an apartment to rent, but with the current prices, it might take a week or two. Meanwhile, I’m enjoying the boschetar life :)
